Yesterday was awesomeness - and such a simple and enjoyable day
My morning started early - no surprise there
up
showered
dressed
coffee - yum
and
out
It was already so sunny - so in my new lovely mota - shades on - tunes on - driving (big smiles)
My first stop was the car boot sale in Cardiff
Had a bit of a battle (with myself) to park my car - to - actually cut the umbilical chord
and not be sooooo neurotic that someone my just drive a pushchair into it
or ping it when getting out of their car
I even have a worry with bird poop - yup nowt I can do about that
so REALLY must TRY to let go of le shiny shiny car protective madness - she is so pretty though ;)
The car boot was ACE
thanks to the weather
and so many people were out selling in the sunshine
which was perfect for me as I had a car FULL within an hour
From there - as I had to be somewhere for 10am
I actually took a LONG drive and teeny adventure all of my own
I ended up in Barry - Gavin and Stacey land
and right by the sea for a little while
Then onto Wenvoe - sooooo pretty
and to
that I have visited before in Cowbridge
My friend Sarah was selling there again
and her things looked fantastic
Her range is expanding so vastly
every time I see her at the sales
It is such a pleasure to watch her business grow
It was THE best day for Love Vintage
the sun streaming through the windows of the old school
and sooooo many gorgeous things to buy
I was in such a delightful quandary of what to choose
I bought some proper lovelies
including these mirrors that you can see in this shot
I was falling in love with so many things from
Random Vintage
So I have hopped onto their website and bookmarked some of my favs to buy later
and ...... if my morning was not fun enough !!!!!
I chatted to so many interesting peeps
(love meeting new people - and i can talk for Britain - oh and listen - he he)
and amongst all the lovelies
were
Kelly and Sara
who run
Maggie's Dress
It was so great to meet two ladies who enjoy Vintage as much as I
and all the other things that come with running a business in this area
To see all of their gorgeous clothing and accessories
sooooo much !!!!!
their display just speaks for itself
a WHOLE room FULL - bliss !!!!!
from chatting and realising that these ladies are Newport gals too
we spoke of possible future collaborations in the long term
and
for the short term .....
I asked Kelly to write a piece on my blog
to which
she said yes
wooooohooooo
which as a working title will be called something along the lines of
A Week in the Life of Vintage
I cannot wait !!!!!
A rather perfect morning - oh and the rest of my day was brill too
a snooze and then out for tea with chums
so
ok sunday - let's do it - off out now into the sunshine again
enjoy
dommie
