Hello Shop - I'm Home

 

Bumbling around - finding treasures - buying treasures
taking photos and breathing new life into forgetten beauties has never felt so good

This time around - I will be working at a slower pace
enjoying every piece that enters my shop
and - before it makes it's debut - I will be tweaking, adjusting, and primping

It is not about chasing the millions this time, but about capturing the few
and holding them close to my heart

It is such a good feeling when a BIG task has been accomplished

I sit here now - rather smug - with a coffee
and two films 'watched' early this morning
The Lost Boys (one of my top 5 films) and Poseidon

Vintage Hats - New in my Shop Today

I did not think I would have such a good time taking photos of hats
but I have loved it and found it rather easy peasy

Like bags I adore hats - but do have a large head with lots of hair
so unfortunatley I have to pass on many of my recent finds

I have kept one - which is rather Audrey Hepburn - tres chic
and given some to chums and family

I have 57 more coming into the shop
and for a start I have popped these 9 into my shop

Yay - It's Friday
which marks the end of a very busy and productive week

My shop is full to the brim
and I have so much more to photograph and pop online
but
all that will have to wait

Today is thrifting day and this has been my reward dangling at the end of a long busy line of days

I am on the hunt for
a cabinet
shelves
lace/tablecloth
paint
a brush
AND .....
a chandelier

Yowzas - that list makes me very happy

So without further a do I am off to get ready and out
and then back for
more packing
a woppa delivery of more vintage
then .....
a bubble bath
a film fest and a large glass of wine with pizza

Cos - heck - with all this hard work you gotta reward yourself yeh !!!!!

A Very Sunny Start

Today was just the very most lovely spring day

I bumbled around without a coat on - my scruffy boots and a scarf
(fear not I did have undies and clothes on
yikes !!!!!
perish the thought of garage action in the nuddy)

My tree
adorned with blossom bubs rather told me that it was very much time
for me to make a start on transforming my work area
which although highly functional
really does deserve a makeover - plus it is rather like my second home
so I should spruce it up

 

It is rather full to the brim
so I am going to just show you one very small area
as the rest is box upon box of lovelies that are in my online shop
ready to wing their ways to new homes

 

So - armed with a pair of busy hands
scissors and some tape - oh and a pencil

 

I grabbed some of my wallpaper stash
and set to work in framing some to hang from the walls
as strangely I like the bricks for now

 

I had a bit of a struggle with all the tacks holding in the backing and glass
only because I have zero patience
but soon enough
I had some fresh fancy wallpaper in some old frames minus the glass
and I think that they look rather cute

I am going on the hunt tomorrow for more frames

 

Once the test frames were completed
I had a little tidy up
and for now just propped them up to make a pretty place in progress

 

 

Tomorrow I am going shopping - vintage - for a cabinet for the opposite side
and shelves to dress this side of the wall

I had so much fun that my ideas are making me so excited for my masterplan
but
I am not going to rush this pet project
and make sure I enjoy every part of it

I will be writing about my progress along the way
and I hope you enjoy having a peek too
