sometimes I TOTALLY burn the candle at both ends

 

and like a wind up toy ..... I STOP

I guess it comes with ADORING my work/life
yet
with sunglasses on the other day - a tapping head and icky tummy
I did think of all the things I need to turn up in my life
to balance my mind and body

 

Enjoy my haven

At this very moment I have fairy lights on - all over my home - and it is just dusk outside

It feels magical and my very own cosy nest
right here
right now

  

Spend more time
reading things made of paper - yup - basic and perfect

I dread to think that computer screens set off said migraine
I conveniently ignore that fact this time
but
just in case - tearing myself away from my beloved screens
I aim to sit quietly and read more books
(my magazine quota is off the scale and I will continue to enjoy them thoroughly too)

 

 Laugh even more than I do
never act my age (which is alot)
and never take myself too seriously

Just look at my cousin's little poppet 

Her bed head made me laugh so much
and this picture is so adorable ..... it is as if she knows she looks funny
I LOVE IT !!!!!

Yes - Everything in moderation 

75% good - 25% baaaaad !!!!!

 

Keep my to do list by my side 

There is so much awesome stuff right now
that trying to remember what I need at the supermarket
just gets in the way - and without my to do list
I simply forget about five things

Yes it is true - a to do list for the mundane
really does free up space for the sublime

 

When I get home ..... sometimes .....
do not work/continue to work .....
pop the kettle on
put my feet up
and take five
technology free - just for a weeeee while 

 

Know when to stop

I could list so many things here 
and my drive means that I will on and on and on
yet
with my new balance
I know I have tumps of other things to do this evening
before bed

Vintage Bottles and a lovely catch up over a cuppa

 Just had a few moments to
pop these vintage bottles in a late night auction
answer and e-mail or three
and tweet

 

Loubs popped in for a cuppa and a long chat
..... it was fabbo !!!!!

 

Off now to get ready for bed

To Do List - Today

To do lists are THE BEST - if you can sit at the end of the day and actually have everything done
that is why
most of the time
they daunt me
but
today
my to do list is HUGE and everything HAS to be done
as
that will mean that my other days of chill
are not full of chores

So at 9am
coffee in belly
i am ready for my day

1. Shower
2. Dress
3. Shop - Necessities ..... the cupboards are bare as supermarket shopping is not a favourite
3. Return
4. Organise, Clean, Wash, Iron ..... alllll day

fingers crossed this will take me to 3pm (ish) - and then the fun to do's begins

New Edition

 I have a new edition to my life arriving on Monday

MY CAR !!!!!

I cannot tell you just how VERY excited I am

Safe to say I ADORE cars is an understatement ..... and it has been a long time coming
for me to decide on my new baby
sign on the dotted line
and wait for her to arrive

I cannot stop smiling - am so excited
and it rather feels like Father Christmas is on his way

So ..... at times of butterflies and buzzing

Indie Killers

For their wedding
Mr and Mrs D had the task
of finding music that would keep the hip kids happy
and also granny and grandpa
and drunk uncle whats his name

The usual pop music DJ set up was easy
but to find a band maybe .....
hmmmmm ? who ?

 

lucky for us
they chose 
Indie Killers 

They were proper awesome !!!!!
