Flower Fun

My florist shop - I think I could have a whole high street to myself and open a line of shops all neat and tidy in a row

I do have a love affair with the high street

My number one, shop of desire, as you know, is my florist shop

I have a passion for blooms just popped into pots - I am even a fan of weeds in jars - so simple yeh !!!!!

So, saying all of that and with my itchy creative fingers
I am working on a line of upcycled jars and pots for events, summer/autumn parties, offices and to brighten your homes beautifully

Cue - ANOTHER obsession ..... I am finding a use for any old jar and bottle I find

Mind you, it does feel rather eco-good and I do, yes I do, smile when I make each and every item - crazy and important

 

and am excited at the versatility - lace and tealights - LUSH !!!!!

So with the basic part of my first batch made
early on this sunny Sunday morning
I am going to pop them into my store room and as and when I find or think of items to add I will
and some I will keep quite plain - ( NOTE TO SELF -remember, to enjoy your projects and grown with them )

To now ..... tunes on, a lady picking up vintage calling by, and then to get ship shape and ready for a meet up with Mr E

New In for Spring

 

Sunday Mornings - how I love them
and yes I am definitely a lark

PJams on, my second coffee of the morning, birds tweeting
and just outside my lounge window I can see my cherry blossom tree budding like crazy
before getting ready for the day

Spring !!!!! yay !!!!!

Ready for all things spring, taking us through the year of get togethers and cosy evenings
I suddenly realised this morning that I have not shared some of my new products for early 2013
and
they are a taster of the direction that I will be taking as much a possible this year

UPCYCLING !!!!! ..... it feels so good

I have created these wine bottles to give a new lease of life to some of the MANY bottles that hit the recycling bins

Super simple and as a result they are a cute little price

Just £2.00 each

Perfect for get together with family and friends ..... the quote I have chosen makes me smile every time I see it

These pegs are a hit already - fab for notes and hanging photos of happy memories

I am a little pattern crazy at the moment
I have some new patterns in mind for more of these pegs and a way to mix and match in a super happy way

Oh ..... and they are £1.45 for 3

These frames evolved from my noticing out of the corner of my eye
that there aree always so many redundant picture frames in charity shops and alike

We do not frame images and display them as much as we used to

So - with my upcycling head on again - I made these notelet displays - perfect for in the office or kitchen
and they look proper pretty too - I hope you agree

From £3.95 each - and I have popped one in auction too this week

These upcycled sewing storage jars have been on my mind for like EVER !!!!!

Many more of these are going to be made I think as I have sold out of my first batch locally already with just two left popped into my shop

This upcycling lark is rather rewarding

Oh and by the way ..... you know the cabinet that I have used as a prop - well, it has found it's way into my home
and fits a small space perfectly

Mother's Day - such a special time when we think of those special ladies in our worlds
and pretty much - in whatever way we feel right - say Mum ..... You Rock !!!!!

It is happening !!!!!

My new range of wrapping has been sooooo well received and I am testing it in shops right now

I was so happy to jump in the car Saturday
a strange array of comfy clothes on - brrrrr it was cold out
tunes on
and a trip to Chepstow

a lovely catch up will my dear friend tall T
of Chepstow Treasures in St Mary's Arcade
a drop off of my new wrappings and trimmings range
and then a wander around the shops - to browse and
through chatting (yes I chat ALOT) lots of exciting new contacts were made
and some people want to ... guess what ... stock Rustic Wrapping !!!!! YAY !!!!!

It was such an enjoyable time out

Online I love BUT you cannot beat shops, people and making new friends

Rustic Wrapping

 

I make myself laugh

No ..... not in a weird talk to myself kind of way
just in an I know myself and my little quirks so very well kind of way

Give me an afternoon
a pet project I have had in my head for some time
all of the elements I have squirrelled neatly away
busy fingers
tea, coffee, tea
and ta dah
I have created my new little line of wrapping paper and trimmings
that I am calling

RUSTIC WRAPPING

I am forever saving scraps of paper, ribbon
aged items and odd things - like an odd earring

BUT

I am also crazily ordered so after a while I have to do something to make sense of my hoard

As you know I have gifting running through my veins
and at a time when shabby chic is so adored
I am going to busy my fingers now and then
to make up rolls of vintage paper
and bags of trimmings
I even have ideas of making dried floral trimmings
and also unusual parcel pretties from used objects

I have to say I have had one very relaxed happy afternoon
