Friday Fings and Finking

 

It is Friday - that FAB time of the week

Always makes me so excited that I can experiment with ideas at a leisurely pace - the week always demands a little more upbeat action I feel

I wanted to share with you some images I have gathered over the weeks that inspire me and fire off little thoughts in my head

My best form of soothing, therapy, calm and focus

I am going to be starting to work up more sketch books and mood boards this year as well as using this blog as a visual inspiration board for me ... and you of course

 

Above - I start with the interior of Anahata Katkin's shop - drrrrream !!!

A kiddo veggie patch !!! I seriously want to make one of these for peeps who cannot have gardens ha ha - but perfect for kiddos too of course

 

I saved this pic for little Nancy - defo some nails for her to try in her little girl's salon

New paint colours from Abigail Ahern - chocolate with a hint of pink ... Yes please !!!

I have spare blank match boxes - I am inspired by All the Luck in the World to make happy gifts for no particular reason - why not eh !!!

Make a Wish*

 

I found a little spare time to make up a batch of wish gifts

Wishes are so gentle and so important and I love that we can make them for ourselves and for others too

My wish gifts are made so that they can be easily tucked away somewhere safe once three wishes have been written down, rolled up and tied

Here's hoping that all your wishes come true

Can Wrapping

Can wrapping is so easy, eco and pretty - everyone is at it !!!

It is getting sunny, the clocks go forward here in the UK this weekend AND it is Mother's Day this Sunday

So what better time to grab a can or two and make some cute cans - pop in some blooms - and make someone special smile

Spring has Sprung

 

 

I do not need an excuse to clean - I am fanatical - but hey, it's spring !!! What better time to have a good old clean and make new homes for items that you no longer use

I have managed to place items into the car boot sale pile for a sunny day of selling with my mum and sis - I have also taken some photos of clothes I will never wear and best they look pretty on someone else

It is nice to see some extra space in my wardrobe and in my studio/dressing room too

There are lots of projects in the back of my mind and a tick list of wants for this year

I just spotted this bunny lamp - cute huh !!! AND it is is Asda !!! Awesome - plus I am loving the tin by it's side ... Some of which I have just stocked in my shop myself

Oooooh Hello Spring - Grass Table Runner

 

Sat here - seeing, smelling and feeling the Spring air

Is it here - I think it is ;)

A grass table runner is just the job for bringing the outside vibe right inside your homes

Playing Shop

 

I adore online - it is where it is at yeh !!! ??? ... though I do love to get the feel of a retail space and kinda play shop from time to time

At present I am firmly online based, even though, there is still that seed of wanting a retail outlet, maybe, perhaps ... one day

I found myself today, pottering about for half an hour, with boxes, upcycled items and not a care in the world, just making things look ... nice

Nice can be good and for me is very therapeutic

Couple with that, some cutting and sticking and therapy is complete

I always advise to find comfort in the simple things

I am happy how these recycled, upcycled tins turned out and although I have placed them in the shop to sell, I am happy to just spend some spare time making them

I can see these tins with some spring florals in ... Wild flowers would be lush

Happy Sunny Sunday

 

Wowzas - what stunning weather

I wanted to share this pic of my fave stock item this week - just cos it made me smile

Sat here, sunshine blasting through the windows, music on and yep, my first coffee of the day

A rugby win, although we did not win, yet a part of my heart (from my wonderful memories of living in there) is still in Ireland - congrats !!! xxx

So - onto a day of busy Mother's Day and Wedding preparations (nooooo not my own ha ha)

I never mind these busy weekends as I always plan special times - next week is packed with catch ups with special peeps and a whole weekend with a lovely Mr

So - although busy - it is still a very Happy Sunday
