Taxidermy Pretties

I as you know - am fascinated by Taxidermy

 

It just occurred to me that this may be due to my very many super happy visits to The Natural History Museum with my Nan

 

I also have a deep love for the work of Joseph Cornell who heavily featured paper birds in his art

I have started to mess about with some ideas - the birds I have found are perfect and I am seeing how they look in the glass jars that I have saved

They are quirky - and I rather like them - I will show you more when sme are finished

Fab Faux Taxidermy Find

 

I have just stumbled on White Fur Taxidermy and I just had to share a link to them now

 

I am faux taxidermy mad !!! and have an idea for a new product line - on just looking up taxidermy styles, I thought that WFT have such a simple and stunning way of doing wall head - the colours make them look awesome !!!

Wreath Time

It is THAT time - what wreath to I buy/make/add to ?

 

I have so many ideas running around my head at the moment and yes I admit I do like to be different and as always quirky

 

I just spotted this wreath over at a beautiful mess - so stunning and simply original

It has given me yet anther idea to consider

Lock Pictures

 

A whole hour in hobbycraft yesterday - AN HOUR !!!

 

Enjoyable, a tad frustrating and lots of pounds lighter but happy

 

I will be making making every day up to Christmas

 

Lots of decoration action to be had here from today - yay !!! plus some thoughtful gift ideas and my upcycling mind seems to be gathering pace as present

Last night I made some lock pictures

 

They had to be left for a long time with the glue to set - as above - but on peeking this morning the glue is clear and they look ace !!!

 

Proper quirky

 

I just have to pop out and get some hooks before they find themselves in the shop
