I have been meaning to write about Mr Bub's and I's weekend away in Sidmouth
More and more these days
I seem to leave my party animal (ways) at home
and yearn for the bubbling, chilling, makeup less gal I have become
and love the fact that I am more comfortable than I have ever been in my own skin
and love that I have a person who is willing to spend time with me
and not even care that I may look a little less groomed than normal
and adore the fact that he does not even tell me that I look like S**TE !!!!!
I had so many favourite moments
yet - I have to say - wearing my new 'Dommie' necklace that Mr Bubs gave me whilst there
and eating
THE
most amazing lemon cake (with blueberries)
was one of them
I had to tell the girl in the coffee shop - and I apologise for seeming to blaspheme - that
her cake was better than my Nan's
yep - HOW VERY DARE I SAY THOSE WORDS !!!!!
It was chuffing amazing
At some point on the weekend
I had a jacket potato with purple coleslaw which just tasted WAAAAAY better
There were plenty of silly me (and him) photos
and surprise surprise - lots of vintage shopping
plus - it was my birthday while we were away
and this year I wanted a really quiet one
and it was just perfect
Mr Bubs showered me with the most personal gifts
one in particular made me cry in a good way
and when we returned to our room
Pam and Mike at The Hollies suprised me by leaving me a gorgeous arrangement of flowers
that I brought home with me and lasted so long
which was so special as a lasting memory of our weekend
