I am so excited for beautiful times with my little cousin Nancy Megan .....
times that do not cost the earth
but are priceless as they are treasured and remembered
and allow imagination and happiness to flourish

I am so looking forward to continuing to write my
Nancy Megan stories too

For now I must work on making sure all orders are sent out on time
writing a little on my blog
and enjoying Christmas

In the lull and comfort and time between Christmas and New Year
I will rest
and reflect
write
snooze
wow ..... and so much more - I am so looking forward to this time

so the hunt is on .....

 

Yesterday, in contradiction to my fab find was unfortunately a bit of an 
urghhhhhh day

 

After Yoga
I was at the receiving end of a phone customer rant
and it seems no matter how hard you want and try to help people
and keep them happy

not everyone wants to be .....
well ..... happy

 

So my semi counter rant over
and today 
is another day
so spread smiles and creativity
and be thankful that 99.99999% of people are super cool

Festive Table

I am loving these festive ideas from Donna Hay

‘favour tree’ – a chocolate tree that you can invite your guests to sample from
Simply wrap small, shiny chocolates in muslin and tie them to branches with ribbon

 

To make these autumnal napkin rings, cut 15cm x 6cm strips of watercolour paper,
sew or hand-stitch a leaf onto each,
leaving a length of string at each end. Fold over both the ends and tie together with the string 

 

 

Rich fudgy chocolate cupcakes with natural chocolate icing made from real cocoa

Each carton contains cupcake mix, icing mix and printed cupcake papers
Makes 12 cupcakes

 

For a fanciful centrepiece, place a vase inside a vase and weave a nest
between the two with dodder vine
Weave feathers between the vine in the nest
Make sure there is no overhanging the inner vase before placing a candle in the centre
Dodder vine is available from florists
It's often green when fresh but as it dries and ages, it'll take on a beautiful appearance

As November is coming to a close

 

 

The time has come to trim up

Every year I have the wonderful dilemma

of what colours to choose ?
what tree ?
what I can update from last year ?

Firstly I have a plain green wreath
which I kinda fancy keeping plain

 

But then again
I cannot resist adding some extras 

 
  I am obsessed
(have been for years)
with having a tree
yep a whole tree
in my home

So ..... I am on the look out this year
for said tree
to spray
decorate
and probably keep in my lounge - decorated differently
for all year round

 

and one day
when I move to my house by the sea
with high ceilings
and beautiful sunlight streaming in every day
I would LOVE
a proper huge whopping great big tree
slap bang in my lounge

So ..... wreath -check

and as I slip into gift mode

Wrong and Right . Black and White

 

Sometimes things go wrong
sometimes things go right
sometimes, just sometimes ..... things just happen

This week has been a series of crazy twists and turns
and if I were try to work out why
I would be none the better ..... and a whole lot more confused

When the nights are dark
chilly
and all I want to do is curl up and make stuff
sometimes things just go wrong
and get in the way

But ..... that is just life I guess

So ..... rather than moan about the daft things here to challenge me
at the moment
I thought I would just paste some black and white images
