Get the Look - A Golden Christmas

eeeeek - I am feeling so full of the Christmas vibe here
surrounded by shiny Christmas lovelies right now
that I am busy popping into my shop

heck - I get the BEST jobs ;)

I have a full golden tea set new in the shop

that would be juuuuust right for after dinner treats

or use for a all round cosy glow by just popping a tea light inside

and gold tea lights feel oh so much more perfect

The John Lewis Christmas Ad - Simply Perfect

 

The new John Lewis Christmas ad is by far my favourite and PERFECT !!!!! 

The first time I saw it - I cried ..... In a good way

One thing that age gives us is sadly a list of people that we have lost
yet happily too - new little people that bring sunshine to our lives

As Christmas comes - I always wish that it could be possible that all of my magical people
that have touched my life could be just for one day, in a room
laughing and joking and raising a toast and saying cheers

Maybe - that cannot happen but all those people that are not here now
are having a good old party in my heart

So as we all wait for Christmas
the arrival of Santa
and our little poppets that will make this Christmas all the more fabby
I will enjoy watching this advert that is frequently on my tv
and I am sure another little tear will be shed

Christmas 2012 will be SO super with our little poppets !!!!!

The ad is all the more fab to me as the little boy looks like
Nancynooooo and Dylan all rolled into one

he he - so cute !!!!!

Wrapping for Christmas

This year I plan to be organised and wrap my gifts with care and love through the next few weeks

hmmmmm - we will see ;)

At the moment I am loving the idea of wrapping and old jam jar - or just wash out a coffee jar
recycle recycle recycle
grab some fabric that you have in your home
or just use an old vintage pillow/tablecloth
a little bit of sewing or the naughty pleasure of double sided sticky tape
a button
and ..... ta dah !!!!!
the cutest storage pot for your spoons during your busy Christmas cooking time

and when you are done with your cooking
some blooms like mighty fine too

I have gotten SO much done in a focused and calm way today

Heating on full blast, fairy lights on - copious amounts of caffeine - zing zing
and a methodical day of uploading products whilst watching daytime TV
out to post off orders and back now for a chilled evening of sketching, making and a film I think
after a warm bubble bath

WELL DONE ME ;)

I thought that it was the perfect time to offer a little FREEBIE

These china yellow roses are so beautiful and I have popped them in a mint green vase for you

Loving my Greens

 

Ornamental Cabbages are my new thing

They are proper different
and I did manage to stop myself buying loads whilst out and about on the weekend
BUT
I may have to go back and get just a few more

My passion for the mix of blue and pink is finding it's way out
in cute little arrangemnts around my home

I have finally found a home for my bamp's paint by numbers painting
in the entrance to my bathroom

I cannot believe that after adoring these paintings for so long
that my bamp had actually painted one

I will treasure it forever

PLUS

I cannot recommend enough the use of fairy lights

After taking these photos I
got out my super mini wire ones ..... moved them around my lounge
and draped over my natty arrangements
and
during these dark winter nights
I will be happy, cosy and well decorated ..... with Christmas on it's way

Utterly in LOVE !!!!!

I cannot tell you - well I am gonna - just how VERY much I ADORE this idea

Coming up with ideas myself is fab
plus
spotting and celebrating the admirable super clever ideas of others
is a recreation I am happy to partake in frequently throughout my day

I know one special little poppet who will JUST adore this
AND
I actually have every element to hand
although I have to get astroturf as soon as I possibly can

My Vintage Christmas

 

The theme for my Christmas this year is
suprise suprise
VINTAGE !!!!!

I have lots and lots of projects on the go
in amongst TONNES or photographing new products for my shop

I am loving the balance of practical creativity
and making creativity

I definitely know that my little mind sometimes misses the making creativity

In front of me in my lounge I now have a cute little arrangement of suitcases
for storage with an arrangement of my favourite book on top

A lovely quick little update and I know nearer Christmas that
some vintage decorations will be just the ticket

I adore these jam jars

Someone VERY special to me is finding a recent family loss really tricky
SO
I plan on doing something VERY special for her
to be happy to remember

Magic Santa's Keys - So Much Fun to Make for Christmas

 

I have had so much fun collecting all of my bits and bobs
to make my new line of
Magic Santa Keys

My key collection is HUGE - so I am looking forward to chilly nights in
making more Santa Key Decorations
and - I will be batching them up
so that they are as different as time will allow me

I just cannot wait to use my tartan ribbon

If you wish to make Santa Keys
this is all you will need
and if you cannot create the tags by computer
then you can hand write for a truly handmade feel

Here is the ditty I wrote of you wish to use it .....

A New Outlook through my Camera

 

I take so many photos of my products and I LOVE it !!!!!

The window dresser in me is never happier than when I am setting up products
with my tunes on and cosy togs

I have set myself a mission to liven up my store
and give my eyes a treat
as I am going to be setting up new displays for the festive season

I just LOVE this little stag I found
and with the vibrant black and pink - it all feels just right for that Christmas flavour

My shop is filling up so fast
and I have so many new items and ideas for settings that I am going to enjoy every second
