I LOVE this birthday card
from Marks and Spencer
and bought it for my very special friend.
SUCH FUN !!!!!
On having a peek at their website this evening I spotted this beautiful section
aptly called
125 years ..... Fabulous Vintage Styles Inspired by our archives
as that is what they are celebrating at the moment.
And my my my the styles are fabulous
my favourites
just take a look
I have always championed M&S
Maybe I have grown into them
or maybe now
as goldilocks said
they are juuuuust right
I feel that they are such a wonderful brand
that have moved and sometimes dramatically shifted
to accommodate and wow a shifting market in a changing world .....
plus giving us value for money gorgeous clothing and accessories
and their food (lemon drizzle cake my No1) is simply ace.
So to M&S
I say congratulations
and thank you for employing me
for 5 years
(oh yes I forgot to mention that .....
I worked for them whilst doing my art foundation course
and Graphic Design Degree)
I had the greatest time working there
and the best student fridge you can imagine
even though I have to say that they were the reason that I cannot cook
as their ready meals were just too convenient .....
oh and fresh flowers for the whole student house.
oooooh he joys of the staff shop.
I was even offered a management trainee position
which to this day I wonder if I should have taken as I have a passion for retail and display
but saying that
that sits within my many ARTY loves
so maybe a job suited and booted would not have quite been for me.
I am off now to think about which dress to buy .....
I feel that the first one is giving me a little nudge and a wink.
