My knitting fingers have been oh so busy and I have truly enjoyed my new creative outlet.

It seems a shame to do nothing with my hands
even when watching a film for example
so I now find myself with many DVDs watched and a bundle of knitted goodies to place into my shops.

I am really pleased with the my fingerless mittens and will be taking photos this weekend.

Flip Reverse It

I kinda had a little play about with my camera this evening.

Close up self portraits are not really my thing
but a friend told me
the reason that we are not too comfortable with photos of ourselves
is because we are seeing ourselves in reverse.

So hey presto .....
I flipped this photo of myself
and even though I did not turn into Angelina Joli
I do look a bit more like myself to myself.

Covent Garden ..... Shopping Fun

This link between two buildings was a wow for me .....
tucked away in a side alley in Covent Garden.

I think that I would rather admire it from down below than cross it ..... eeeeek !!!!!

As I have mentioned before, our time in Covent Garden was mucho funo

Trailer Park Boys ..... cos David said so

My sense of humour is rather healthy
stupid
and open to all things new

Yet

When something is recommended (this time by David) you are slightly hesitant to try it
I guess in case you don't laugh when someone has told you
'it is so funny you will laugh your socks off'.

So ..... Trailer Park Boys ..... 
watched
laughed
and LOVED
so much so that I have watched every series in a disturbingly short space of time
and now
I recommend it (heartily) to you .....
you will laugh far more of your socks off

 

especially when you meet Conky.

Off now to watch some more
but near the end ..... and kind of sad that I have seen most of them
I suppose I will have to watch them all over again.

I'm your present

 

I have been loving I'm your Present for such a long time.

I feel like I am browsing through a sweet shop
smelling of candy floss and jelly beans.

I have yet to decide what my first purchase will be.

Not sure that my 35 years and ample thighs will look too hot
in one of the adorable Romper Suits ..... I can dream eh !!!!

So .....

Maybe I am better off getting this Eiffel Tower Necklace

or in pink perhaps ?

A shooting star in the heart of Covent Garden . London ..... ROKIT ..... Vintage Bliss ..... Thrifted Heaven

This weekend my family and I had THE best time in London.

It was my Nan's 80th birthday party, the sequel
and after an early start (6am ..... yawn) travelling up there with my little sis
we managed to squeeze in some shopping time in Covent Garden
before meeting the family in the most amazing restaurant
(pictures to follow)
enjoy every minute of Oliver the Musical on Drury Lane
and then back to my Aunty's house for a super party in the evening.

My Nan's dancing was so bonkers that I think she could be making her debut on You Tube.

So ..... back to the shopping extravaganza

I adore Covent Garden
and just soaked in all of the atmosphere
and we loved browsing and sitting in a cute little coffee shop
watching the stylish world walk by.

and ..... filled with cappuccino and a sticky bun
we stumbled on ROKIT

What a joy !!!!!

It was a bit of a :( as we were running out of time and the shop was huge
that my sister and I hurried through the racks with our little faces full of glee.

Not only were the items out of this world and such a selection
but the prices were too !!!!!

One of the vintage dresses I bought was just £3

I recommend it to all and if you cannot make it to Covent Garden
then make sure you check out their website

there is nothing better than staying up into the wee hours creating and making. i love that feeling that when the world slumbers and snores i am busy working away and the moon and stars feel a little bit more like my little secret.

 

i have had alot of late nights working on projects over the last few days ..... tired yes ! exhausted yes! look blinking awful ..... oh yes he he ..... but now i have a weekend planned to relax with friends and family and a heap of new work to feel a bundle of excitement in my tummy.

New Direction

 

Phew ..... 18 hours later
with sleep
food
knitting
and watching Trailer Park Boys in between (you must see this ..... thanks Dave for recommending)
I am finally content with my new banners and the wee ones that I have made too for my sister's shop.

We felt the need to make the change as so much has altered in the last two years
(I cannot wait to show you an interesting post soon)
and things have shifted in direction radically
so it felt natural to alter our banners likewise.

Me being a fuss pot, have taken far too long
but am now sitting on my hands (well not quite as I am typing ..... doh me ha ha!!!!)
well in my mind anyway
so that I do not tweak and fuss with them anymore
as I have far too much to do today
and cannot wait to put my new products in the shop
including a vintage medicine cabinet
it is PURE JOY !!!!!
