A very Happy Monday

Yesterday was such a happy and relaxing day and yes .....
my little sis is addicted to thrifting.

Up kinda late and bumbled around,
did chores and ironed
whilst watching
Bargain Hunt
Cash in the Attic
To Buy or Not to Buy
some other antique/thrifting programme

Can you see a pattern here ???

Then, shower and spruce up to go out into the crisp sunshine
pick up my bebs and out to thrift.

Days when you have no agenda
concept of time
or need to be anywhere are just the best !!!!!

We saw SOOOOO many things that we wanted to buy
but were sensible and just bought what we actually had room for in our wardrobes
as if we bought everything our rooms would be full to bursting.

Key gems were
some antique brooches
a polka dot scarf
 a lush and cute silver cardigan
a vintage slip dress .....

oh yes it was a very good day !!!!!

When we felt the need to venture back to my folks house we .....
ventured back slowly after picking up goodies for a night in front of the TV
watching Sex and the City
and Loubs popped in too for a quick chat.

It was one of those precious days when not much was done
spent
or achieved
but was oh so good for the soul

Oh and if you wondered what the picture is for at the top of this post .....

I simply wanted to bookmark this for myself
and I need these mugs in my life
to make a toasty warm coffee after mornings of car booting this winter

Nearly 100% Thrifted

My Passion ..... obsession for thrifting has reached all new highs.

Yes ..... I still shop on the high street
but I am so much happier rummaging around in a charity shop
or at a car boot sale in the morning sun.

Taking all my finds home, washing, and ironing them makes me so happy
and any items I find that do not fit or suit me that are just too good to resist,
I place in my ebay or Etsy Shop.

This weekend sees a busy one of catching up with my bezzy mate
and if the hangover allows, lots and lots of work on Sunday.

Then Monday ..... oooooh Monday !!!!!
I am taking my little sis on a charity shop tour.

We plan on going to ten ..... mmmmm THE best day,
as my sis has not really gotten into the charity shop thing
I know that she will love the experience and her style is so unique
that her finds will look fantastic on her .....
and yes I know she will want to go again and again.

So on to a lovely day of shopping and then catching up with my Loubs.

Oh !!!!! and thank you to everyone for all your support and well wishes that you have sent by e-mail.

I think the things that do not break you make you stronger
and hey when you are faced with a situation there are one of two ways you can go.

I wish you all well and hope that life has dealt you a winning hand today.

Blue ..... not brown

A little bit of a sad day for thought and reflection .....
a string of things have gone wrong over the last two weeks
but hey as they say it could be worse.

Off later to spend the evening with my little sis
who always makes me laugh and with some chick flicks
and food that is oh so bad for us ..... life just ain't that bad.

Warm and Cosy

Autumn is truly here

The temperature has dropped and the mornings are slightly frosty and chilly.

I LOVE them and when the sun is still bright in the sky it is one of my favourite times of year.

I spotted this lovely lady's work on Etsy
and she creates so many beautiful pieces I cannot decide on which one I wish to purchase.

Maybe I will have to buy a few ..... eeeeek

Off out now into the sunshine wrapped up all warm and cosy.
With one of these devine neck scarves my outfit would be complete.

I am loving so many things at present ..... but ..... adoring vintage !!!!!

and unfortunately failed to keep a log of whose it was
but I just have to say that I love it
and it has been much inspiration to me of late.

I wish I could dress like this every day !!!!!
